Community Violence Prevention Summit

Esperanza Philadelphia, PA

Senator Sharif Street in partnership with Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal will hold a summit on Friday, Nov. 5 to engage stakeholders and the community to address the continuing cycle of crime and violence throughout the City of Philadelphia. 

The Community Violence Prevention Summit, hosted by the bipartisan and bicameral PA Crime Prevention Caucus of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, will feature city and state politicians, law enforcement, community support groups and violence interrupters, and will be a central part of the push in Harrisburg to direct more funds and resources to making communities safer. The PA Crime Prevention Caucus is chaired by Senator Sharif Street (D-3), Senator Mario Scavello (R-40), Representative Austin Davis (D-35), and Representative Natalie Mihalek (R-40). All chairs will attend virtually or in person.

This two-part town hall will take place on Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Esperanza (4261, N. Fifth Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19140) and can be attended in person or virtually. It will be live streamed at www.senatorsharifstreet.com/live and on Facebook (@SenSharifStreet).
